Stephen Krumm, D.V.M
Dr. Stephen Krumm is the sole veterinarian and owner of Owatonna Veterinary Services. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1977 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. With the changing needs of the Owatonna community, he transitioned from a large animal to a companion animal practice. Dr. Krumm and his wife share their love for animals.
Bethany, Certified Veterinary Technician
Bethany graduated from Rochester Technical Community College in May 2015 and achieved certification shortly thereafter. Bethany and her husband, Kevin, own a poultry farm together. They have an English Springer Spaniel named Annie. A cat lover, Bethany has three domestic shorthairs of her own -- Cherry, Mimi and Daphne – with room for many more!
Leah, Vet Tech Student Intern
Leah is a student intern at OVS while completing her Veterinary Technician degree at Rochester Technical Community College. Previously, she studied at South Dakota State University. A former Steele County Dairy Princess and American Cheviot Sheep Society Queen, Leah continues to raise sheep. She has an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix named Jet and a Labradane named Gunner. Leah says that she devotes more time to her two sisters’ dogs than they do.
Cecilia, Office Coordinator and Inventory Manager
Cecilia made Owatonna her home when she married Dr. Krumm in 2008. Before joining OVS, she taught German in colleges across the U.S. Along the way, Cecilia adopted a few dogs and cats. In fact, Marvin and Janie (aka Pinky), were 2 kittens from Bethany’s farm. Cecilia was surprised when a DNA test showed her little, one-eyed rescue dog, Oscar, to be half Shih Tzu, half Yorkie – a Shorkie!
Skyla, Vet Assistant
Sklya graduated from the Univesity of Minnesota Crookston in 2018 with a double major in Animal Science and Equine Science with a pre-veterinary emphasis. Skyla aspires to be a vet. She owns a Boston Terrier named Boris and two horses named Whisper and Eden. Skyla is a member of the Steele County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse.
Allie, Office Assistant
Allie graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with an emphasis on Equine Management. A former Western Saddle Club
Association Queen, she still competes in WSCA shows over the summers. Allie’s family has three horses – Miley, Sheza and Danny; two yellow Labs – Tucker and Stella; and two domestic shorthairs – Toby and Cleo. Allie showed horses and goats, and was involved in other Steele County 4-H projects. Simply put: Allie loves animals.
